saw cuts well but battery life is really poor. used 2 batteries and was only able to make 2- 8" diameter cuts. i do a ton of cross county ski trail clearing with a heavily used, three year old, 2 handed carona that puts this puppy to shame. save your cash or perhaps check out oregon's.

Anybody who complains about this saw did not realize what they were getting. I understood this was a very light duty saw made for small limbs. I bought this just to cut up starter wood and that is it. I do not want to bring out my 18" gas saw for that stuff. I works just fine for about 20 to 30 minutes which is all I need it for. You can see just by looking at the picture it is not made to do to much. The best part was the directions explaining how to drop a tree. Yeah right. It does a great job for what it was made for.

This saw quickly and effortlessly cuts small trees and branches, at least up the ~ 4" diameter limit of my personal experience. A single battery charge affords perhaps 15 minutes of cutting. The battery should probably be freshly charged immediately before use to get the full 15 minutes. While remarkably light and easily handled, the saw is definitely not a toy and should be handled with caution. The oil feed that lubricates the chain continues to ooze oil during storage, apparently a common feature of such saws and a genuine inconvenience. The saw arrives needing minor assembly, essentially that of screwing on the blade. And of course there are the usual advantages of electric over gas: quiet running, immediate and effortless starting, no messing with gasoline, and no exhaust.
